My Photography, My Way

Welcome to Gail Rajgor Photography – launched as I brace myself for life in my 50s.

As the big Five Zero approached, I realised I want more from my day-to-day life. So my gift to myself is to be brave enough to make sure that happens and not allow anything or anyone to stand in my way. Does that sound selfish? Probably. But long ago I had a dream to be a professional photographer and travel the world. It was a dream I gave up to go get a “proper job”.

Now, as I reach a major milestone in my life, I wonder: If I don’t follow my dream now … when? I bet many of you have said the same thing to yourself – perhaps on more than one occasion. I hear you, trust me. I know it’s not easy to turn away from all the obligations of life. But ask yourself – don’t you owe it to yourself to really follow your dreams?

Time is running out so the time is right now!

For me, the dream is this: Gail Rajgor Photography.

I have been obsessed with photography since I was young and have worked on the side as a professional photographer (under the name Rage With A Smile Photography) here in Suffolk for some time. My day job running Editorial Rescue has usually taken over, however. Gotta pay those bills after all. Yes, my camera is always with me when I go out – not many days I don’t capture the world around me.

But as my friend Nick says, what’s the point of me taking all those photos if I don’t do anything with them? He’s right, of course.

So I am officially stepping out of the shadows at last.

• No hiding behind a made up name.
• No hiding behind what I think I should be doing.
• No hiding due to fear of failure or disapproval.

This is the real, authentic, me – Gail Rajgor – and I am firmly stepping out into the light.

So what can you expect from Gail Rajgor Photography?

Simply put: Life Through My Lens. Of course, you’ll find out more about me and my love of photography, but you’ll see and hear about my travels (with and without Nick) and the stories I capture through my camera.

My Travel Bug Collection will take you to Prague, Kraków, Chania, Budapest, Malta, Barcelona and beyond as well as show you why Suffolk, where I live, is a beautiful county you should definitely put on your travel list.

I’ll also be sharing a few little Life Lessons Through A Lens with you too, so look out for those.

You can also expect to meet Ozzie my dog and no doubt will get to know some of the wonderful wildlife I encounter here in Suffolk too.

But most of all, you’ll hopefully enjoy seeing my photography done my way and I hope it will inspire you to go live your dreams too or at least visit one of the destinations I cover in my Travel Bug Blog and Collection.
